There are 2 main types of video doorbell – wired and battery powered. They work the same, but one needs to be wired into your mains electricity whereas the other is battery powered.

As well as this, some doorbells come with the chime included so you have an audible sound inside your home when the doorbell is pressed (like a traditional doorbell), whereas others you may need to purchase the chime additionally.
