A leading electronics manufacturer has made major advances in the research and development of LED lighting products, reports A1 Lighting.
Gem Hsin Electronics has developed bulbs that enable wide beam angles and uniformity of light, while reducing the size of the heat-sinks required in their LED products, improving efficiency and lifespan.
The wider angle (up to 220 degrees) allows for a less concentrated beam, providing a natural LED light for home and office environments.
Herman Chang, chief executive officer of Gem Hsin, said that the company was excited to provide more comfortable working and living environments for consumers.
"These innovations combine to produce remarkably even and natural illumination," he added.
Previous breakthroughs from the company have included their revolutionary T5 and T8 LED tube lights.
Scientists at the Georgia Institute of Technology recently announced that they had improved the performance of LED bulbs through the use of zinc oxide.
